Yokohama
Known as one of the most popular seaside areas in Japan. It can easily be reached by either car or by trains. Yokohama was the first seaport that opened to the world in 1909 and since then many different cultures came into the country through this area. You could say, that the modernization of the country started in Yokohama. Before then, the area was a small fishing village. When foreign people started living in the area, they carved out the hills for the new residential area, which is now called “Yamate (Yamate Bluff)”.

Minato Mirai, is a large urban development in Yokohama, Japan.
This area now features the Landmark Tower, -Japan’s tallest building, the shopping mall, the Pacifico Yokohama convention center, major hotels, the Yokohama Museum of Art and high-rise condominiums.
Yamate, is also called the Yamate Bluff area is famous as having been a major foreigners’ neighborhood in late 1800.
The properties in this area are mostly western-style, large and with gardens.
The neighborhood maintains that reputation today, along with the Motomachi
Shonan is the name of a resort-oriented region along the coast of Sagami Bay.
Kamakura is the most famous city in Shonan area and was the political capital of Japan during the Kamakura shogunate from 1192 to 1333.
