The ideal features of these areas are convenient transportation and the around parks. Sotobori Koen, Geihinkan (State Guesthouse), the Imperial Palace, etc. all provide the beauty of nature. Many historical events took place in this area, and you can still see some of what structures remain. There are several universities and professional schools, too.
In the Yotsuya area, we recommend taking a walk around the Imperial Palace to enjoy each season of the year. It is considered as a refreshing section among busy commercial areas, and you will find many office workers strolling around the palace. Sophia University, a well-known university that accepts many international students, is located in the area; and it will open its campus to anyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms in spring.
State Guesthouse

The State Guesthouse is a government facility established to accommodate Presidents, Prime Ministers and VIPs from abroad. The magnificent Western-style palace has a high cultural value. The palace is open to the public during the summer when not in use.
Institut Franco-Japonais de Tokyo
10 min. walk from Iidabashi Station
For more than 50 years, the Franco-Japanese Institute has been introducing French cultures to Japan by organizing French classes and various kinds of events. Maison Franco-Japonais, the incorporated foundation that serves as a bridge between the two countries is located in Ebisu.
Ohori (Koukyo)
5 min. walk from Yurakucho
The moat around the Imperial Palace has become an oasis in the city. The circumference is about 5km and is famous as a safe and beautiful jogging course.
Ichigaya and Iidabashi area is known for having many French residents since there are the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of France and Institut Franco-Japonais de Tokyo. Many famous French restaurants are located in this area, too, although, at the same time, the residential area maintains the beauty of old Japan. Compared to Aoyama and Shirokane, this area is more tranquil and has its own history.
Sophia University (Jochi University)

The first Catholic university in Japan. In 2013, it will be celebrating its 100th anniversary. Since the beginning it has been known as Sophia University abroad since "Jochi" means "supreme wisdom (sophia)". The name comes from the line "Seat of wisdom" found in the traditional Catholic prayer "Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Budokan
5 min.walk from Kudanshita Station
Built in 1964, for the purpose of passing on the "Budo (martial art)" spirit to the younger generation. In the Tokyo Olympics, the Judo tournament was held in here. The roof is modeled after Mt. Fuji. It is now used for "Budo" tournaments and for the events that serve for public benefit.
