This famous "fashion-trendsetting" area is located around Aoyama, Omotesando and Harajuku. The latest fashion designers and apparel retailers come and define their business base here. Omotesando is where the international high-quality stores converge. The area is often used for photographing models for magazines. Harajuku is more for younger people who are seeking their own look. Don't be surprised to see "blond" Japanese youths strolling about. The Aoyama area, which leads you to the Akasaka area, is more a business district with globally affiliated enterprises, designers' offices, etc.
The Aoyama area is also suitable for residing in. Although being in the very center of Tokyo, it has Meiji-Jingu (one of the most famous shrines in Japan) and parks; and the residential area is quiet and safe. Japanese VIPs, international executives and business managers seem to be fond of finding a residence in the area.
Meiji Jingu

Lined with keyaki (zelkova) trees, Omotesando is a beautiful street that stretches from Meiji Jingu to Aoyama-dori. Originally constructed as the approach to Meiji Jingu, Omotesando is nowadays known for its world-renowned brandname shops and has gained attention as a fashionable district.
Icho Namiki Dori (Ginkgo Tree Avenue)
5 min. walk from Jingu-mae Station
