Q5
What do I bring with me? Is there anything I can’t bring?
Answer
Most of the day to day things you will need can be purchased in Japan. Do remember there are some medicine that are not sold or can not be prescribed in Japan. Consult with your doctor before coming. Household appliances from overseas often do not work in Japan due to the different voltage. If you do bring appliances, you will need to buy converters or extensive construction may be needed which is costly and in the long run, can be a burden on the appliance. This can also be a fire hazard so it is not recommended.
